A New Generation of Blogging Trends
Published 7 months ago • 3 min read
Hi Reader,
At the end of my son’s hockey season, I found myself surrounded by shouts of “skibidi toilet!” and I instantly felt like an old lady grumbling about “kids these days”.
My sons are at an age where Gen Alpha slang has infiltrated our house. Gone are the days where my Millennial phrases were the sole influence of their vocabulary (“whatever!” has definitely slipped out on occasion when my son has had an attitude and it was like looking in a mirror).
But every time my son says “Bet” all I can hear is “Word”. And when he says “No Cap”, that’s just millennial for “For Real”.
Every generation has their own trends and slang but it’s just the same old stuff repurposed with a new spin.
The same can be said for blog posts. 5-10 years ago you may have been able to gain traction with a blog post utilizing a few targeted keywords. Now, (especially with the rise of AI) blog posts should follow the “experience, expertise, authority, and trustworthiness” (E-E-A-T) rule of Google. Simply put, with so much content to consume, demonstrating your unique know-how and brand voice increases your chances of ranking well and standing out to your potential clients.
Benefits of Writing Blogs Posts in 2024
Increased Online Visibility Regularly updated blogs with relevant keywords can help improve your website’s ranking on search engines like Google, making it easier for potential clients to find your practice. As an added bonus tip: Blogging about local events, news, or specific services can boost your visibility in local search results, attracting clients from your area.
Establishing Authority and Trust By sharing your knowledge and expertise on specific topics, you position yourself as a thought leader in your field, which builds credibility and trust with your audience. Providing valuable information through your blogs helps educate your audience, demonstrating your commitment to their well-being and enhancing your professional reputation.
Client Engagement and Relationship Building Engaging content, such as answering common questions or addressing concerns, fosters a sense of community and encourages current and future clients to interact with your practice. Bonus tip: Adding links to related blog posts will create a higher chance of visitors staying and engaging with your website, which in turn will also increase your search ranking.
Marketing and Business Growth High-quality blog posts can attract new visitors to your website, some of whom may convert into clients. Including calls-to-action (CTAs) in your blogs can guide readers toward booking appointments or contacting your practice.
Repurposing Content for Social Media and Newsletters Blogs can also serve as valuable content for your email newsletters or social media posts. Taking your existing blog content and repurposing it into different formats will save you time while keeping your audience informed and engaged with your practice’s latest updates and insights.
Enhanced Client Retention A well-maintained blog serves as a resource library for your clients, providing them with valuable information they can refer to between appointments. By addressing common issues and providing advice through your blogs, you offer additional support to your clients, reinforcing their loyalty to your practice.

Hi Reader, I’ve been waiting for the right moment to bring up a boring topic with my clients… website policies. WAIT, DON’T GO! 😜 This Black Friday, I am focusing on helping customers get up to speed with compliance related to their website, and I’m recommending a solution I use on my own website, Termageddon. Let’s start with the basics… Your website is collecting (and sharing) personal information Generating leads is essential for just about every website owner. Websites with contact forms...
Happy Halloween Reader! Last week, I was on a mission to earn cool mom points by finding the perfect video game truck for my son’s birthday party. After sifting through search results, I was left frustrated with no available options for the date I needed. I finally hit the jackpot after I reached out to a friend who recommended a local business I hadn’t even found in my Google search. This experience got me thinking about the power of being easily discoverable online – and how important it is...
Hi Reader, It’s been a rough few weeks over here. I unfortunately had an impromptu anatomy lesson during my work out when I heard a “pop” and immediately felt pain on my left side. Apparently, the bottom few ribs are called “floating ribs” and you can pop them out of place, causing an injury like a sprain in your ribs. Standing at a whopping 5 feet tall, I already had issues reaching things on the top shelf. But after this injury, reaching up to grab food in our pantry ain’t happening. Our...
